In this thesis, I have investigated on PAF(Premenstrual Assessment Form), differentiation of symptoms and signs, discriminant about the constitution of sixty-four females from 1997. 7. 10 to 1997. 7. 20. All objects work at Kwangju Wonkwang university oriental medicine hospital now. Through these researches, I have obtained several results as following.
1. In this study, the average age of objects was 28.14 years old. In terms of occupation, nurses and nurse´s asides account for 56.3 percent, In view of blood type, B group amount to 40.6 percents.
2. It was most common that menstruation commenced at 14 years old, and that menstrual bleeding time consists for five days. Who complains dysmenorrhea account for 75 percent, and they commonly complain pain during menstrual period 1-2days ago and just before.
3. Frequencies of premenstrual syndromes appear as following. General discomfort syndrome appears in thirty-four persons(53.1%), major depressive syndrome appears in twenty-seven persons(42.2%), impaired social functioning appears in twenty-two persons(34.4%), impulsive syndrome appears in twenty persons(31.3%), water retention syndrome appears in nineteen persons(29.7%).
4. As a result of differentiation of symptoms and signs to premenstrual syndromes, the type of stagnation of the liver-qi appears in thirty-four persons(53.1%) the type of weakness of the spleen and the stomach appears in twenty-two persons(34.4%), deficiency of the kidney-yin appears in eight persons(12.5%).
5. As a result of discriminant about. the constitution, Soeum-in occupied form 25.0%, Taeeum-in occupied form 28,1%, Soyang-in occupied form 25.0%, Taeyang-in occupied form 3.1%.
Out of consideration for above results, the greater number of cases of PAF, differentiation of symptoms and signs, discriminant about the constitution will be helpful to diagnosis of premenstrual syndromes.
